I have many years experience working in the digital environment and believe it can be as therapeutic as face to face counselling. Online Counselling, sometimes known as online therapy, can offer greater convenience and, for some clients, the online environment helps them feel able to share emotions and experiences that may feel too difficult in a face to face environment.
You may live in a remote area where it is hard to access face to face counselling, or perhaps it is difficult for you to travel. Online Counselling can also sometimes be quicker to access with shorter waiting times than face to face counselling. Whatever the reason may be, Online Counselling provides a safe, non-judgemental space for clients to explore whatever is challenging them.
I offer remote talking therapy (video & voice), and written therapy (email or instant messaging) and am happy to work with a platform of your choice including Zoom, Skype and FaceTime. All platforms are free to use.
Booking an initial session
As with my face-to-face counselling, I offer an initial consultation session to give you a chance to see if you feel comfortable with me and the way I work, and for me to get an initial understanding of what brings you to counselling. You can ask any questions you may have about counselling and my approach, and have time to reflect on whether this feels like the right option for you. There is no commitment needed to attend any further sessions.
